November to May is dry. Clear skies, low humidity, the lagoon at its most photogenic. This is the high season; Christmas and Easter are the busiest weeks.
June to October is the wet season. It rains, often in the afternoon, often hard, often briefly. The lagoon is greener, the jungle is greener, and the fireflies come back.
September is the wettest month and the one we'd tell you to skip if the dates are flexible.
The quietest stretches are late April into May, and September into early November. Fewer people, good weather on either side of the rain, better rates.
