The property is wider than it looks.
When we bought the land, the first idea was one large building close to the water. It would have been efficient: more rooms, fewer corridors, fewer gardeners.
We didn't do it. The land is wide and the trees are in charge, so we put six low buildings, four rooms each, with real distance between them.
It's inefficient. You walk further, you spend more on gardening, you lose some rentable square meters for every wall you don't build. But when you sit on a balcony and don't see the neighbor, and you hear a bird instead of someone else's conversation, you understand why it's worth it.
If we ever propose to grow, the answer will be: another property. Not another building here.
